Net Worth pathway
Net Worth Certificate
An informational guide to structured preparation of personal net worth documentation for independent review by a practising Chartered Accountant.

Request context
What a net worth certificate covers
A net worth statement records the difference between what an individual owns and what they owe at a specific point in time. The resulting position may be reviewed and, where appropriate, certified by an independent practising Chartered Accountant. It may be requested for purposes such as a visa application, a loan assessment, a regulatory filing, or personal financial planning.
Assets and ownership
Assets may include bank deposits, investments, property, vehicles, and other items of value. Supporting evidence, ownership treatment, valuation basis, and recency all require context; final preparation rules will define the accepted treatment.
Non-contingent & contingent liabilities
Existing obligations and potential obligations both require disclosure. Loans, mortgages, credit balances, guarantees, pending disputes, and conditional commitments may need different evidence and valuation treatment under the final rules.
Possible evidence context
Evidence and declarations
Preparation may involve documentary evidence for each asset and liability together with declarations about completeness and accuracy. The categories below are illustrative examples, not a universal checklist.
Bank & deposit statements
Statements from savings, current, and fixed-deposit accounts showing balances at the reference date.
Investment records
Holdings statements for shares, mutual funds, bonds, or other financial instruments.
Property documentation
Title deeds, sale agreements, or municipal records establishing ownership and approximate value.
Vehicle & asset registrations
Registration certificates or valuation records for vehicles and other registrable assets.
Loan & liability records
Statements from lenders showing outstanding balances, repayment schedules, and terms.
Personal declarations
Signed statements about completeness, contingent liabilities, and material facts not captured in documentary evidence.
Intended journey
From structured facts to independent CA decision
The lifecycle keeps every preparation and review responsibility visible.
- 1
Gather & organise
Collect supporting documents for each asset and liability. Guidance and checklists will appear only after the preparation rules are finalised.
- 2
Standard package
The platform organises confirmed submissions into a consistent package with completeness indicators and visible gaps.
- 3
Draft confirmation
Review the assembled package and confirm that it represents a fair and complete picture to the best of your knowledge.
- 4
CA decision
A practising Chartered Accountant reviews the exact package and decides whether to certify using independent professional judgment.
Standards limits
The platform structures. Your CA decides.
Preparation, not certification
The platform helps organise evidence and structure a submission. It does not certify, value, or verify financial information.
Professional judgment only
Whether to certify is entirely the CA’s decision. No outcome is promised, predicted, or implied by the platform.
Rules under review
Evidence requirements, valuation conventions, and certificate templates remain subject to practising-CA and legal review.
